Joint educational project with the Institute of Oil and Gas at the Udmurt State University
In August 2011in Izhevsk there was held a grand opening of the new building of the Institute of Oil and Gas atthe Udmurt State University. The event is considered to be significant for developent of the educational sphere of the Russian oil and gas industry The building of the institute was erected within in one year and has become the real architectural masterpiece which now decorates the capital of the republic.
NK RussNeft has allocated $10 million to its construction. The new building admits up to 600 students. The nine-storied building with the area of 8 000 m2 will house 21 teaching and research laboratories and 12 classrooms. More than 100 highly-qualified teachers will teach students oil profession which is in high demand worldwide.
In 2012 the Company plans to build a modern hostel and to purchase high-technology equipment.
Moreover, NK RussNeft intends to involve Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas into further development of this project. Joint elaboration of educational programs will contribute to further development of scientific potential of the Institute of Oil and Gas and perit it to become in future a major educational center of oil and gas industry in Russia.The President of the Republic of Udmurtia, A. Volkov, has signed an order to name the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Udmurt State University after the President of OAO NK RussNeft, Mikhail Gutseriev for his contribution in the implementation of this project.
