The enterprise develops 5 oilfields in Ulyanovsk Region: Allagulovskoye, Mordovoozerskoye, Ravninnoye, Novobesovskoye, Novolabitovskoye; three oilfields are in conservation:  Primorskoye, Yuzhno-Lebiazhinskoye, and Rudnevskoye (at the stage of exploration).  ZAO JV “Nafta-Ulyanovsk” works with heavy high viscosity oil. Operator’s services for oil production and transportation are rendered by OAO “Ulyanovskneft”.
Initial recoverable reserves of oil by C1+C2 categories make 22.3 million tons. Following the results of 2010 the cumulative oil production of ZАО JV "Nafta-Ulyanovsk" made 177,274 thousand tons of oil.
The main task facing the enterprise is to stabilize the volumes of extraction of hydrocarbon materials by means of realization of program on geological and technical actions, program on capital workover operations and program on current workover rig. For the last two years «Nafta-Ulyanovsk» strives to improve production processes in the fields and to improve their engineering support.
Thus, in 2009 at Mordovoozerskoye oilfield the company put into pilot oil production the first stage of the preliminary water removal unit, two vertical steel tanks with capacity of 1000 and 2000 cubic meters, there was carried out optimization of oil pumping systems. At Novobesovskoye oilfield there were reconstructed oil-gathering station and automated process control system (APCS) of the preliminary water removal unit, a new high pressure water duct for draining bottom water through PWRU to absorption wells was put into operation. At Allagulovskoye oilfield works on stimulation of oil production have been completed, geological and engineering works are going on at Mordovoozerskoye, Novobesovskoye and Ravninnoye oilfields.
In 2010 there was carried out optimization of well operation at Novobesovskoye oilfield, was reconstructed flaring system, which allowed to meet the requirements on industrial, work and environmental safety. There was put into operation telemetry system at Allagulovskoye oilfield.
In 2011 there’s planned drilling of two exploration wells at Rudnevskoye and Novolabitovskoye oilfields.
