Joint educational project with the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin

In 2011-2012 within the frames of a joint educational project of the   Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin and OAO NK RussNeft two regional preparatory departments (RPD) were opened in the city of Saratov and in the town of Raduzhny.  
Implementation of this project started in 2010. Its main purpose was to prepare future professionals for oil and gas industry. The Regional Preparation Department of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after Gubkin  was established for the children of OAO Saratovneftegas and OAO Ulyanovskneft in Saratov. 30 pupils of senior school classes from Saratov and Ulyanovsk participated in this pilot project. During the academic year 2010-2011, within the frames of two off-site sessions  the children were taught by the best university teachers, all the preparation and training costs were undertaken by RussNeft.  The logical result of it was the fact that the best RPD leavers entered the Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas. 
In the new academic year (2011-2012) the project covered not only the Volga region, but West Siberia as well. Besides, for this second        admission the list of majors the entrants could choose for their future profession was extended. The number of the participants of the present projects amounts to 50 pupils of senior school classes from the Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Tomsk regions and Khanty-Mansi Autonoous Okrug. The youths are taught by the leading teachers of Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas under a specially devised program. The first session was completed on December 5, and the second one is planned for February 2012.
The main aim of the program is to get the future students acquainted with the special characteristics of the oil and gas inductry and prepared to pass the Unified State Examination.  After serious pre-university preparation course, provided they pass the exams successfully, the best leavers of RPD will become students of the departments they have chosen. Besides, administration of RussNeft is planning to finance their education in whole and in future to provide them employment at the Company enterprises.
