Refining
The refining sector of the Company comprises two enterprises:
Orsknefteorgsintez OAO ,
Neftemaslozavod
The refining plants of ÎÀÎ Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft» are situated in the central part of Russia and in the South of the country.
The main task of the refining complex of «RussNeft» is to provide supply of oil products to wholesale and retail markets in and outside the country in conformity with the existing forecast requirements to their quality.
ÎÀÎ Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft» implements large-scale programs on upgrading its refineries which would enable the Company to raise competitiveness of its products and to increase production output. In the longer term the Company also plans to introduce ecologic programs, which will contribute to oil treatment efficiency and raise the stability of the Company’s business.
In 2007 «RussNeft» invested heavily in upgrading and reconstruction of its production capacities, product expansion and raising the quality of oil products.
In 2008-2010 ÎÀÎ Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft» is going to continue implementing the programs of upgrading the refining complex of the Company.
Refining development strategy of ÎÀÎ Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft» is aimed at improving of economic efficiency of its plants, meeting the existing and forecast requirements to the quality of their production, replacing of outdated machinery, raising the level of industrial security. Ways of accomplishing these tasks differ for each plant of the Company in connection with the existing set of operation procedures, equipment performance, requirements of sales markets, geographical location.
One of the most large-scale production programs is being implemented at ÎÀÎ «Orsknefteorgsintez».
An important achievement - implementation of the project of construction and putting into operation of reformate separation block.
In 2010 OAO “Orsknefteorgsintez” increased oil processing volume up to 5 million 133.2 thousand tons of crude oil which is a record level for the last 10 years. As compared with the year 2009 production level equals 100.9%, light oil products output grew by 0,55%.
The growth of oil processing up to the said level became possible due to rational use of the company’s resources.
Production output of gasoline in 2010 as compared to 2009 grew by 5.1%. On the total the plant produced 752.5 thousand tons of gasoline, including premium-95-98 thousand tons, regular-92 – 225 thousand tons, normal-80 – 429 thousand tons.
In 2010 ONOS produced more than 1 million 451thousand tons of diesel oil, about 270 thousand tons of jet fuel, more than 62 thousand tons of lubricants, 82 thousand tons of bitumen.
The main task of ÎÀÎ «Orsknefteorgsintez» is upgrading of the refinery with the aim of:
• maintaining its positions at the motor fuels market of the RF;
• building up production output in rapid-growing segments of high-octane regular and
premium gasolines;
•reduction of the share of low-octane fuel;
• bringing fuel oil quality into compliance with the requirements of the existing and forecast regulatory documents;
• growth of profits through fuel oil conversion into engine fuels;
• rational use of oil reserves of the Company;
• increase of capitalization of the Company.
It is planned to implement upgrading in two stages:
Stage 1. Bringing the quality of motor oils into compliance with EURO-3, implementation started in 2006)
Targets of Stage 1:
• reconstruction of the units VDU-3, CDU/VDU and 22-4;
• construction of reformate segregator;
• construction of isomerization unit;
• replacement of the catalyst at diesel oil hydrotreater;
• accomplishment of off-plot works in the framework the 1st stage of plant upgrading.
Stage 2. Bringing the quality of motor oils compliance with EURO-4 requirements
Targets of stage 2:
• reconstruction of vacuum towers VDU-3, CDU/VDU or construction of a new vacuum distillation plant;
• construction of a mild hydrocracking complex, including.
- hydrocracking;
- sulfur production;
- hydrogen production;
• construction of a FCC complex;
• construction of an alkylation plant;
• construction of a MTBE plant;
• construction of a coking plant;
• construction of a visbreaking plant;
• accomplishment of off-plot works in the framework the 2nd stage of plant upgrading
The second investment program is being introduced by the Orenburg Holding at ÎÀÎ «Neftemaslozavod»
In 2007-2009 OAO “Neftemaslozavod” implemented the program for reduction of production costs. In 2010 the plant will go on developing optimal compositions of produced lubricant oils with the aim of reducing the costs for raw stock and components. It is planned to expand sales network and to study the possibilities of cooperation with other companies in this sphere of business.
The main tasks of ÎÀÎ «Neftemaslozavod» are to expand the range of products, start producing new kinds of lubricants, industrial oils, inhibitors, raise production output and sale of non-fluid oils and other lubricants. Within recent years there were developed and successfully produced quite a number of new lubricants for metallurgy, machine engineering and agriculture.
The main task of OAO “Neftemaslozavod” for 2011 is to increase economic efficiency of production through:
• intensive marketing of lubricants, cutting fluids, paraffin-wax compositions, anti-corrosion finishes and technical
guarantee of increasing output of these products;
• starting production of new highly profitable products;
• cost reduction due to power consumption decrease;
• optimization of the territory;
• number of employees;
• cut in materials and reagent costs,
• reduction of expenses through replacement of the old machinery with new equipment.
