RussNeft Recognized as Laureate of the Personages of the Century Contest
Oil Company RussNeft OAO has become the laureate in the 2005 Break-Through Nomination at the Personages of the Century Contest. The contest was held for the sixth time by the Institute of Economic Strategies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Economic Strategies Academic Journal, and according to the press-service of the company, the purpose of the contest was to choose the best samples of the strategic management in Russian business.

The competent jury included leading economists of this country, business-experts and analysts. They summed up the results of the year 2005 in nine the-best-of-the-year categories including  the statesman of the year, the manager of the year, the company of the year, the break-through of the year, the forward of the year, the foreign company of the year, the event of the year, the deal of the year, the fiasco of the year. The ranking of the leaders was done basing on thorough examination of many details and using analytical procedures which had already been tried out in many home and foreign consulting programs.
The outstanding achievements in the production and sweeping development of the strategic potential of the company tipped the scale in favour of RussNeft, and by common consent, the jury of the contest declared RussNeft the winner in the Break-Through of the Year Category.
