31.03.2006 "Oil&Gas Vertical".  RussNeft Recognized as Laureate of the Personages of the Century Contest  
Oil Company RussNeft OAO has become the laureate in the 2005 Break-Through Nomination at the Personages of the Century Contest. The contest was held for the sixth time by the Institute of Economic Strategies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Economic Strategies Academic Journal, and according to the press-service of the company, the purpose of the contest was to choose the best samples of the strategic management in Russian business.
29.03.2006 "RosBusinessConsulting".  RussNeft Opens a Representative Office in Krasnodar Region  
The Board of Directors of NK RussNeft OAO has taken a decision to open a representative office of the company in the Krasnodarsky krai. The Board has made a provision for opening the representative office of RussNeft in the Krasnodarsky krai by introducing respective amendments in the statute of the company and charged RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev with appointing the head of the representative office.

Oil Company RussNeft OAO has established a subsidiary named ‘RussNeft Research and Technology Center OOO’.
28.03.2006 "RosBusinessConsulting".  RussNeft Announces Creation of a Subsidiary, RussNeft Research and Technology Center OOO  
RussNeft has announced creation of a subsidiary under the name of ‘RussNeft Research and Technology Center OOO’. This strategic decision will allow RussNeft to ensure “highly efficient development of its oilfields and proper exploitation of its resources which by this time have significantly increased”, as pointed out in the company’s statement. Many objectives to be accomplished by the Center also include preparation of reservoir engineering documents for the oil producers of the Holding Company to develop their oilfields, and oilfield development efficiency enhancement basing on creating and monitoring oilfield geological and hydrodynamic simulation models. In addition, the Center shall control the quality of the research on reservoir engineering and geological study of the subsoil to be done for RussNeft by independent service companies.
28.03.2006 "Prime-TASS".  RussNeft Established a Research and Technology Center to Develop Project Documents and Perform Oilfield Analysis  
RussNeft has created a subsidiary under the name of RussNeft Research and Technology Center, or RTC, to develop project documents and perform scientific and technical analysis of the oilfields, the company says in a statement.
16.03.2006 "Tomskiye novosti".  Romantics from the North of Tomsk Area  
No more than three years ago Sobolinoye ZAO was no different from a dozen of other small upstream companies operating in the oilfields of the Tomsk region. The company possessed a small license area of 6 square km and produced 160 thousand tons of crude oil filling only half of the license quotas. Such a gap was accounted for by the absence of good investments in well drilling. However, in 2004 with RussNeft coming to the north of the Tomsk region things changed dramatically for the company. After having been integrated into the structure of RussNeft, group of companies ‘Sobolinoye ZAO’ could stir up its oilfield activity and increase the production showing. Last year Sobolinoye ZAO produced more than 550 thousand tons of crude oil.
14.03.2006 "RosBusinessConsulting".  RussNeft Transfers 51% Stake at Udmurt National Oil Company to its Balance Sheet  
Oil Company RussNeft OAO has transferred 51% stake at the Udmurt National Oil Company, or UNOC, to its balance sheet, RussNeft says in a statement. On March 2nd the company’s share in the capital stock of UNOC increased from 0% to 51%. Before that the above stake was not in the company’s direct possession.

Oil Company RussNeft OAO has transferred in March 51% stake at the Udmurt National Oil Company and NGDU (Field Office) Penzaneft OAO to its balance sheet, the company reported in a statement.

Russia and Algeria signed in Algiers the agreement on creating the Algerian-Russian Council to function under the aegis of the Commerce and Industry Chambers of the two countries. The press-service of Oil Company RussNeft reports the document was signed by the Co-Chairmen of the Council, RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev representing Russia and Kamel Abdel Rahim representing the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Russia and Algeria have entered into the agreement to create the Russian-Algerian Business Council which will function under the aegis of the Commerce and Industry Chambers of the two countries. The press-service of RussNeft reported that the document was signed by Kamel Abdel Rahim, the Co-Chairman of the Council to act on behalf of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and President of Oil Company RussNeft OAO Mikhail Gutseriev, the Co-Chairman of the Council to act on behalf of the Russian Federation.

Russia and Algeria have concluded an agreement to create the Russian-Algerian Business Council which will function under the aegis of the Commerce and Industry Chambers of the two countries. The document was signed by Kamel Abdel Rahim, the Co-Chairman of the Council to act on behalf of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and President of Oil Company RussNeft OAO Mikhail Gutseriev, the Co-Chairman of the Council to act on behalf of the Russian Federation.
