Beginning from January 27 2006 Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange has started to sell non-convertible interest-bearing documentary bearer bonds of 01 series issued by Oil Company RussNeft OAO. The bonds are subject to compulsory centralized custody and are included in the list of non-listed stock of MICEX (their state registration number is 4-01-39134-N dated 24.11.2005, ISIN RU000A0GKXJ3). The volume of the issue is 7 million bonds at a nominal price of RUR1 thousand. The issue is to be covered by 10 coupon payments.

Oil Company RussNeft is going to spend RUR600 million for the development of ‘Krasnodar Oil Refinery – Krasnodarekoneft’ ZAO, the company says in a statement. The tax proceeds to the budget of the Krasnodarsky krai will be doubled in 2006 from RUR100 million a year to RUR200 million.

Yesterday President and co-owner of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev said his company is ready to hand over to Lukoil 35% of its stake at Geoilbent OOO in exchange for some other producing assets. According to Ú, Lukoil has offered RussNeft to choose between a number of producing assets in Volgograd and Perm regions as well as in the Republic of Komi. The company of Mikhail Gutseriev expects to get for its stake at Geoilbent one or several assets with up to 500 thousand tons of annual oil production.

Oil Company RussNeft OAO is ready to pay $100 million to Yukos for 49% stake at Slovakian Pipeline Company Transpetrol, as RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev told the Oil Information Agency. According to him, this sum is justified as it equals the cost value of the stake at the company.

President of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev has become Chairman of the Russian sector of Russian-Algerian Business Committee. This decision was made at the first meeting of the Russian sector of the Committee in Moscow. According to M.Gutseriev, the cooperation between the two states was going to develop practically in all the directions, however oil and gas industry, agriculture, construction, as well as trade and tourism were going to be priority ones. Authorities of any region having no refinery dream about getting one. Everyone knows that such enterprises are usually the biggest tax payers in the regions of their operation. The Bryansk region is no different. According to Interfax, yesterday the industrial committee of the local Duma approved the project of RussNeft on the construction of a refinery in the region with a capacity of 6 million tons of crude oil a year and construction budget exceeding 50 billion rubles.

Industry deputies have given approval to oil company RussNeft to build a refinery in the area of Zhecha station. This issue was discussed at a meeting on January 12. The decision came as a result of the study of seven volumes of the project documents submitted by RussNeft and the visit to the area of Zhecha station where the already existing oil loading terminal functions.
