Natalya Sorokina: «If one has an aspiration to self-development, any kind of work will be interesting»

The interview had just started when I felt like asking the lively, energetic and communicative woman if she feels bored in «the world of figures».
-  Book keeping has always seemed to me a creative sphere and not boring at all. And now when so many amendments have been made to the legislation and the entity is adjusting its accounting system to the international standards you just do not have time to feel bored – Natalya answered. I think everything depends on the person: if you have an aspiration to self development any kind of work will be interesting.
Natalya Sorokina was 18, when having finished her studies at the correspondent department at the Krasnodar Petroleum College she came to Saratov. The graduate of the department of «Oil and gas industry accounting» started her professional way in «Saratovneftegas», having in the mean time entered the Saratov Economic Institute. Another 18 years have passed since. Having become a chief of the section Natalya has been working as Chief Accountant of subsidiaries of «Saratovneftegas» - CLSC «Saratov Burenie» and CLSC «Service center of oil-field and drilling equipment». However her homeland is Krasnodar Territory where she goes on holidays. «Haven’t you ever felt like returning back to your motherland? » - I ask her.
- Never, - she says with assurance. - «Saratovneftegas» is a huge system, where it is interesting to work and comfortable to live. The accountants have all the conditions – solid methodological and data support, annually the accountants of all the service entities take refresher courses at the Saratov branch of the institute of professional accountants; we also attend corporate workshops in Moscow as well as the lectures given by professionals from the capital. Due to such a fundamental training organized at our entity I managed to take the second prize at the competition of «The Best Accountant of Saratov region 2006». Of course, our section had been seriously preparing for the competition. My colleagues say that I won due to my self-reliance and belief to take a prize. And that is true. I am an optimist and I believe that efforts bring results, one just has to strive for them .
- Taking into consideration, that our interview is being taken not long before the International Women’s Day, I cannot but mention: nowadays a career woman doesn’t have a simple life, - Natalya Sorokina says. – And the more important for her is to feel her colleagues’ support as well as social security. I think all the women, working for «Saratovneftegas», have been lucky. We know, everything necessary is done for our professional competence, our health and rest are being taken care of, not leaving aside our children and members of our family. The entity allocated free the flat where my family live, «Saratovneftegas» pays the refresher course of its employees, as well as medical insurance and our children’s summer holidays. That is why I said that working for «Saratovneftegas», can be a great comfort, as its social program takes off half of the problems, which nowadays any woman can have. My daughter Julia dreams to become an accountant. Looking at her mother being awarded at the competition of «the Best Accountant of Saratov region», she got «inflamed»: I will be like you.  Well,  I don’t mind  and I will help her to become a professional in this field. I would also like very much my daughter to work for «Saratovneftegas», then I will de fully confident in her future.
