Today in Chechnya a new school has been opened.
It is the first new school built for the last 20 years. The school has been build in the Oktyabrsky region of Grozny on the spot where used to be School No 23 destroyed in the war.

The decision to build a school was made by Akhmad Kadyrov, former President of the Republic, and implemented by Mikhail Gutseriev, the head of Oil and Gas Company RussNeft, who had been a pupil of this school as a boy.
RussNeft President Mikhail Safarbekovich Gutseriev says: “I want to stress that we will build, keep building, whoever destroys and no matter how. Man with the ruble is stronger than man with the gun; it is a law and is self-evident”.
